HRTI Fall/Winter Free Film Series Starting Soon!
Post date: Aug 26, 2014 12:14:35 AM
The signs are everywhere: summer is winding down, and soon, the dark, chill evenings of fall will be
upon us. Winter won’t be far behind... Last winter, it felt like everyone became hermits and vanished
until spring. This year, join friends and neighbors for an exciting film series hosted by Hay River
Transition Initiative and Prairie Farm Community Education. Starting in October, a free showing will be
hosted, with coffee, treats and discussion to follow. Mark your calendars and save the dates:
October 23, 2014-Seeds of Freedom
November 20, 2014-Audrey of the Alps
January 22, 2015-Food Security and the Rural Female Farmer
February 19, 2015-Dental Farmer
March 19, 2015-Dirty Work: The Story of Elsie’s Farm
All films will be shown in the Prairie Farm School Library Media Center, starting at 7 PM. Films are
suitable for all ages, and are sure to get you thinking about ways our community can work together to
address the issues they raise.
