Gardening A to Z: Winter Dreaming of Summer Gardens

Post date: Jan 31, 2013 1:3:58 AM

Wednesday evening, February 27th, beginning at 7 PM in the IMC/Library at the Prairie Farm High School.

Do you spend much of your winters dreaming of gardening? It is not an unusual thing to do, especially when the snow is falling, the wind is howling, and the temperatures are chilly! It is pretty easy to imagine that perfect, weed-free, beautiful, healthy garden in our mind's eye.

Help is at hand to make your 'perfect' garden a reality. Please join us for the next Everything Gardens workshop: Gardening A to Z. It will be held Wednesday evening, February 27th, beginning at 7 PM in the IMC/Library at the Prairie Farm High School.

Jim Bruns from Hay River Farms will lead us in a lively discussion as we dream about and learn about options for next summer's garden. Jim has been gardening organically for many years. He and his family own and operate a successful CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) just north of Prairie Farm. Jim will guide us through discussions of vegetables from A to Z. He will suggest what works and what doesn't work so well, and things we may not have thought to try. There will be plenty of time to answer your questions about gardening organically.
